Health waiver.
Effective date: 24 April 2026
Our service.
StretchLAB provides assisted stretching sessions delivered by trained Stretchologists under the clinical oversight of a HCPC-registered physiotherapist. Our protocols are designed to improve range of motion, support recovery, and complement your existing training or rehabilitation. Sessions are not a substitute for medical treatment, physiotherapy, or clinical diagnosis.
Health disclosure.
Before your first session, you must disclose any health conditions, injuries, or medical circumstances that may affect your ability to participate safely. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Heart conditions or cardiovascular disease
- High or low blood pressure
- Respiratory conditions (asthma, COPD)
- Diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2)
- Epilepsy or seizure disorders
- Joint replacements or surgical implants
- Recent surgery (within the last 12 months)
- Acute or chronic musculoskeletal injuries
- Osteoporosis or osteopenia
- Pregnancy or recent childbirth
- Neurological conditions
- Hypermobility or connective tissue disorders
- Any condition being treated by a doctor, physiotherapist, or specialist
- Any medication that may affect your physical response to stretching
If your health circumstances change at any time, you must inform your Stretchologist before your next session.
Clinical assessment.
Your Stretchologist will conduct an initial assessment at your first session to understand your range of motion, identify areas of restriction, and establish a baseline for your stretching protocol. This assessment is not a medical examination. If your Stretchologist identifies concerns that fall outside the scope of assisted stretching, they may recommend that you consult a physiotherapist or medical professional before continuing.
Your responsibilities.
By attending sessions at StretchLAB, you agree to:
- Provide honest and complete health information
- Inform your Stretchologist of any discomfort, pain, or unusual sensation during a session
- Follow any pre-session or post-session instructions given by your Stretchologist
- Arrive in appropriate clothing suitable for stretching
- Notify the studio immediately if your health circumstances change
- Attend sessions sober and free from the influence of alcohol or recreational substances
Assumption of risk.
Assisted stretching, like any physical activity, carries inherent risks including but not limited to muscle soreness, soft tissue strain, and temporary discomfort. While our Stretchologists are trained to work within safe ranges of motion under clinical oversight, you acknowledge that no physical intervention is entirely without risk.
By participating in StretchLAB sessions, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with assisted stretching, including any risk of injury arising from the physical nature of the service.
Liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and discharge DKD Holdings Ltd (trading as StretchLAB), its directors, employees, Stretchologists, and contractors from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from your participation in assisted stretching sessions, except where such claims arise from our negligence or wilful misconduct.
Nothing in this waiver limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
Data use.
The health information you provide will be stored securely and used solely for the purpose of delivering safe and appropriate stretching sessions. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR. Health data is treated as a special category of personal data and will only be processed with your explicit consent.
Your health records may be shared with the supervising physiotherapist for the purpose of clinical oversight. They will not be shared with any other third party without your express consent, unless required by law.
